Specific surface area

Specific surface area determination of solids is carried out by N₂ physisorption at 77 K in ASAP2020 (Micromeritics).  For this porpuse, the amount of physically adsorbed gas is measured and the Brunauer, Emmett and Teller (BET) method is aplicated.
Physisorpion analysis and specific surface area determination by BET method are performed according to ISO 9277: Determination of the specific surface area of solids by gas adsorption – BET method.
